Intense 365 Month 5: No (2x's a day)
No.
Nope.
Negative.
This month's blog post will be short, for many reasons that I will likely elaborate on later, but for now, all you need to know is that the answer is gonna be no, to a lot.
While you may read this and (rightfully) assume this is saying no to others to create boundaries, it is also a big fat NO to me too.
I have been too indulgent with myself.
No, I am not galavanting to fancy engagements and eating rich delicacies while partying too late, if only it were that simple(or glorious).
What I am doing is giving in to reasons to letting comfort food, comfort me while still finding time to meal prep, challenging (Month 4).
Thus I need to say no more.
Kinda sucks, but (real talk) I'm already a dash miserable, and the little bit of joy I'm squeezing out a quarter pounder with cheese isn't really worth it.
No to yourself= Discipline
No to others= Boundaries
So this month, I will sometimes vocally, sometimes silently say no 2x's a day.
Once (at least) to the world at large to prioritize my goals.
And once to put" baby in the corner" (baby being self-pity and the desire to eat ice cream for breakfast more than once a week).
This what I am doing this month, I encourage you to say no with me, but if you gotta NO for me to do you, then, by all means, I support the hell out of that too.
No one likes to hear no, but when expertly applied, it renders the best results.
Good luck.
What the hell am I talking about?
Click below, cause this, among other things.
Catch you on the other side of amazing.
There is a myriad of diets, workouts, and tips out there to capture the heart and minds of the masses. I will clear out some of the noise and give you the first diet you need to be on before you can truly succeed in any meaningful way.
Nothing can help to get your thoughts in order more than putting pen to paper. Moreover, after the year we just had, I’m guessing you have a lot on your mind.
I went into covid times with a pretty solid comfortability with little contact with others (re I cry alone) and daily helpings of ambiguity for breakfast.
Things are getting done and fires are extinguished, but I do not FEEL like I’m winning…why?
In our quest for survival, situation notwithstanding, most of us are maintaining with a combination of determination and apathy.
…in the past, I was building a castle, but this round, I'm just working on a rambler (that I can upgrade later).
…you will offer it up on the chopping block, but don't. This is why it's called a CHALLENGE.
This month's challenge will not change the randomness of life and death events, but it will increase your odds of having a loving convo with someone you care about before you no longer have the option.
If you have ever been in a situation where you were fearful or upset, you must have realized that doing nothing made it worse.
I'm not here to judge "our" drinking problem, I am trying to get us better hydrated.
I’m only asking that you start the process, I’m not asking you to sweat, I’m asking you to schedule.
What the hell happened here?
This sentence was repeated as I stepped on the scale last Sunday.
What does walking around trying not to get hit by cars, not bit by misquotes, not get chased by deer (yeah seriously) actually do?
Life happens outside of your apartment; it just does, and you can’t be a part of it if you’re indoors.
You don’t need to be a foodie to like novelty in your food life. We ALL like novelty in our lives in one form or another, but to achieve some level of success in hitting your personal goals, you gotta maintain a routine.
Before anyone opens their mouth to point out that McDonald’s sells salads and that restaurants can be even worse than a drive-thru,
I know.
I am not here to argue the merits of any of that,
because I don’t care and this isn’t court.
The truth of the matter was my last week or so was filled with an obscene amount of fast food.
Like gross levels.
There is a myriad of diets, workouts, and tips out there to capture the heart and minds of the masses. I will clear out some of the noise and give you the first diet you need to be on before you can truly succeed in any meaningful way.
Real talk: We got a whole a** year to get through, it’s not always going to be smooth sailing.

I realized that I no longer needed the same amount of comfort I did in April of 2020.
