Intense 365 Month 5: Walk 10 Min A day (no matter what)
Intense 365 is happening co-currently with 2020, and this year is no joke.
The last month alone has delivered me two deaths, a move, my first celebration of my Mother's bday posthumously, and my first chat with a grief counselor. Even she agreed that this was "a lot."
As she told me some of the things I could do to cope, turns out I was already doing them:
Exercise- Check (Intense 365 Month 1, 5min workout)
Reach out to others stay connected with support systems/friends/family- Check (Intense 365 Month 4, Phone-A-Friend)
Meditate or some reflection time-Check (this month’s Intense 365, walking!)
Journaling- Check (basically this, but I have a journal too)
Get involved with something you are passionate about- Check (Intense 365 Month 3, Take Action)
Try not to drink excessively- Check (I doubt she meant water, Intense 365 Month 2, Shots of Water)
As much as I want to push myself to the limits, I also realize that we all have already been pulled to a lot of ours.
This month's challenge is (deceptively) "simple" enough.
Walking 10 min day no matter what, however, will prove challenging..
the first day it: rains, snows, you're tired, it's dark, you’re running late, you want to sleep in, you don't feel well, you feel amazing, your feet hurt, your laundry isn't done, your phone rings, you can't find your headphones, you're thirsty, you're hungry, you're bored, or you're busy.
On these days you will offer it up on the chopping block, but don't.
This is why it's a CHALLENGE and why it is part of you getting you closer to improving and growing 365 days.
